Taschenuhr Peterhof

Pocket watch „Peterhof“

The first pocket watches have been made during the transition period from the 15th to the 16th century in the German town of Nuremberg. In this connection we remember first of all the Nuremberg watchmaker Peter Henlein.

Shortly afterwards, the triumphant advance of the pocket watches began. The small watches were appreciated not only in Nuremberg, but also in many other countries and regions like France, Holland and England.

Nowadays, we see a real renaissance of them. Therefore, the brand „Basilika” will be completed by its first pocket watch. The well-known, very reliable mechanical caliber 3105 by Poljot will be fit in a fine steel case, refined with the traditional wonderful kind. The case will have a glass back so that this objet d’art can be seen. The dial is traditionally guilloched and print by big Roman numbers.
