The Volga is one of the largest rivers in the world and the largest river in Europe. In ancient writings it is mentioned as “river of rivers”. It has its source in the north and runs 3588 km to the extreme south of Russia, where it flows into the Caspian Sea. At some barrages it reaches a width of 30 km. Its importance for Russia is inestimable. Since ancient times it have been the breadwinner and most important trade route from “Veliki Novgorod” to Persia. Trade flourished and huge cities were built on the banks of the Volga.
The elegant watch “Volga” is available in a solid tonneau case and with a wave-guilloched dial. This version of the case is a rarity and enriches the collection of Poljot-Internation, as it is usually produced in a round shape. The beautiful wave-shaped dial underlines the idea of the Volga’s “water”. The remarkable features of the models are additionally the arabesque numerals and the screwed glass back, which allows a view of the “inner life” of the finely decorated and gilded movement. The movement is the famous caliber 3133 by Poljot, which hasn’t been produced for years and therefore will delight all watch fans. In total there are only 5 pieces of each model available at a special preferential price.
