The main element of the design is the symbol of the Russian Tsars – the double eagle. It is on the 12-hour position and embodies the power and unity of the Russian state. It is carefully lasered onto the dial and then plated. Since the “double eagle” as the main element is relatively large, the hour markings with Roman numerals were adapted to the size and thus balance the design

Peter the Great

Peter the Great was a reformer of the Russian Empire of 17. the 18th century.
